Why Passionfruit? Do good with

How to become a Passion guide?

We need your skills

Your qualifications as a local expert are essential to us and the Passion explorers. We trust local experts who have the necessary skills and years of experience. As a guide you share your passion for your region, the surrounding environment and enjoy getting to know new people.

Profile verification

To help us verify you properly, we ask questions aimed at clarifying your skills, experience and expertise. You can also distinguish yourself with any certifications or licenses you may have - for example as a mountain guide, surf instructor, emergency responder or avalanche training and rescue swimmer’s qualifications.

We will review your profile and the feedback of Passion explorers on a regular basis. This helps us ensure that the Passion guides and their offers are really what they say they are and to guarantee the best possible customer experience.

Earn money and do good

You can get started as soon as you are confirmed as a local expert in your region. Share your passion with like-minded people, earn money and support sustainable projects all at the same time.

How much do you earn as a guide?

As a Passion guide how much you earn is up to you. Whether you want this to be a side job in your free time, or a full-time job you are licensed for. The offer varies. You can consider the following factors when you set your price: Will your explorer bring their own equipment, will you take care of transportation, will you offer accommodation, and are you a guide or more like a teacher? You decide, you set your own prices.

What does earn?

The guide determines the price. Passionfruit adds ten percent to this amount and advertises the offer with the total price. A fifth of Passionfruit’s margin will be invested in sustainable, social and ecological projects.

How do we support both the environment and people?

All activities advertised on Passionfruit take place outdoors together with other people. There is nothing more important to us. You belong, we belong. The money raised for sustainable projects goes to Viva con Aqua, a charitable organization that helps provide clean drinking water to people all over the world, in addition to other ecological projects - at the very location where the Passion experience takes place.

When will I be paid?

When an experience is booked, the amount will be reserved on the customer’s credit card, but it is not charged yet. The payment will be submitted 24 hours after the Passionfruit experience has taken place.

What happens if I am not satisfied with the service?

If, for a specific reason, the Passion explorer was not satisfied with the service, he/she has 24 hours to contact the Passion guide. In this case, we will help to review the situation and will contact both Passion explorer and Passion guide to find a solution.

What happens if the guide cancels?

If the guide cancels on short notice, the explorer will not be charged and the full reserved amount will be reimbursed. The guide is asked to cancel at least 24 hours in advance if he/she is canceling because of injury or illness, for example.

What happens if nature doesn’t play along?

Nature can be unpredictable and volatile, which is one of the reasons we love it. No one can guarantee that there will be good weather conditions or nice weather on day X. Risks of avalanche and thunderstorms may also be an issue. However, we can use weather, wind and wave predictions to gain an assessment of the situation.

Our experienced guides are able to judge whether or not a Passion experience should take place. But the Passion explorers should be informed as much as possible beforehand. Stay in contact with each other. If bad weather is predicted, our customers have at least three days to cancel and will be reimbursed the full reserved amount.

What about taxes?

+ GmbH is domiciled in Emmenbrücke (Switzerland) where it is subject to taxes. Our guides are responsible for ensuring their income is taxed correctly at their place of residence.

What about insurance?

The guides and explorers are responsible for having their own insurance appropriate to the situation. GmbH accepts no liability.
